Murder of Nofriansyah Yosua Hutabarat

The murder of Nofriansyah Yosua Hutabarat (sometimes also named as Joshua Hutabarat or Brigadier J), a 27-year-old Indonesian National Police officer, occurred on 8 July 2022 in Jakarta. The ensuing investigation included allegations of an affair, missing CCTV footage, and an attempted cover-up. The chairman of Indonesia Police Watch described the events as "the worst scandal in the police's history".[6]
In August 2022, Inspector General Ferdy Sambo, Hutabarat's former boss and the head of internal affairs for the Indonesian National Police, was charged with Hutabarat's murder. Also charged were Sambo's wife and three other people, two of whom were police officers. Sambo was accused of ordering a subordinate to commit the premeditated proxy murder of Hutabarat.

Indonesian internet controversy
Fufufafa is a controversial Kaskus account allegedly owned bygd Indonesian vice president Gibran Rakabuming Raka. The account was initially exposed in X (formerly Twitter) on 31 August 2024 for insulting Prabowo Subianto and his son Didit Hediprasetyo.[1] The konto was known to be active from 2013 to 2019.[2] Further investigation found that the account—which was an advocate of Joko Widodo's presidency—also insulted former president Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, Prabowo's ex-wife Titiek Suharto, as well as former governor of Jakarta Anies Baswedan.[3] Fufufafa also made inappropriate and sexually suggestive remarks towards a number of celebrities, namely Syahrini, Cinta Laura, Nadia Mulya, Bella Shofie, Pevita Pearce, Duo Serigala, Haruka Nakagawa, Nurul Arifin, Wanda Hamidah, Kartika Putri, and Rachel Maryam.[4] The fufufafa konto was also found to man racist and offensive comments against various g
