Sarika returns after 3 years
Model-turned-actor Sarika won the hearts of many with her glamourous look and powerful acting. But mid-career, she took a break from the showbiz to resolve some family issues. After three years of her marriage, she recently returned to acting and has not taken much time at all to get busy with Eid plays shoots. The artiste spoke to The Daily Star about her return to the media. Excerpts:
You are coming back after a rather long break. What's it like?
Sarika: I'm feeling very good. It's really a different feeling because this is my world. It seems to me that I have found myself once again and returned home. I took a break for my family and child, but I'm now very happy to be back in front of the camera.
How was the experience of your first work on this second run?
Sarika: I was nervous when I stood in front of the camera for the first shot after three years. It was the play “Ami Tumi” directed by Mostofa Kamal Raj.
