    David Hirschi was born in Rockville, Utah on December 13,

    David was baptized in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on July 6, bygd Charles N. Smith. He was ordained successively to the offices of Deacon, Teacher, Priest, and Elder, the latter ordination bygd Mathias F. Cowley on November 21,

    Hirschi took an active part in his church. He was Superintendent of the Sunday school and President of the Y.M.M.I.A. at Rockville. From to he filled a uppdrag to Switzerland, part of the time as President of the St. Gallen and Zurich conferences. In March of , he was called as Bishop of Rockville (St. George Stake) and was ordained a High präst and Bishop September 12, bygd Hyrum M. Smith.

    Hirschi was born and raised in Samedan, Switzerland.[1] He learned seven languages before graduating high school and five Scandinavian languages in college.[2] Hirschi studied literature at the University of Gothenburg.[7]

    Hirschi began writing Greek mythology as a teenager.[4] He wrote a book about e-learning pedagogy and another about his management philosophies during his corporate career.[4][7] After his son was born, Hirschi wrote fictional works.[8] He has self-published a poetry book and a short story.[7] He has also published four novels

    Travis Warner Hirschi (April 15, – January 2, ) was an American sociologist and an emeritus professor of sociology at the University of Arizona. He helped to develop the modern version of the social control theory of crime and later the self-control theory of crime.

    Hirschi was born in Rockville, Utah. He attended the University of Utah in the s, where he obtained undergraduate and master's degrees.[1] In , Hirschi married Anna Yergensen.[2] He spent two years as a U.S. Army data analyst.[3] He received a Ph.D. in sociology from the University of California, Berkeley in [1]

    In his work Causes of Delinquency, Hirschi posited his version of social control theory. He wrote that social bonds encouraged conforming behavior and prevented most people from committing crimes.[4] In , he and Michael Hindelang published a study which showed that IQ and socia
