Horton received a degree in business administration from El Camino College and a bachelor of science in business administration with a concentration in finance and accounting from California State University, Dominguez Hills. Career
[edit]On July 15, , Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger nominated Horton for the 3rd district of the California Board of Equalization to replace Judy Chu, who resigned from the board to become a member of the United States House of Representatives.[1] Horton was confirmed by both houses of the legislature and sworn into office on October 5, , at which point he was immediately elected the board's vice chair.[2] On November 2, , he was elected to his own four-year term.[3] Horton served as chair of the board from to [4]
On November 9, , Horton announced his candidacy for the U.S. Senate election in California.[5]
