    Comezou a súa carreira como modelo aos 17 anos de idade, grazas a iso chegou a vivir en Milán e París. Despois mudouse para Nova York onde fixo un curso de interpretación con Susan Batson. Ademais de ser modelo, Cauã é cinto negro de jiu-jitsu e foi bicampeón brasileiro. Ademais da loita, tamén practica ioga e surf. En 2002, o actor comezou a saír coa actriz Alinne Moraes. Os dous viviron xuntos ata o final da relación en 2005, despois de tres anos de noivado. No 2007 casou coa actriz Grazi Massafera, e tiveron unha filla chamada Sofía, en 2013 separáronse.[1] No 2012 protagonizou a telenovela Avenida Brasil xunto a Débora Falabella.[2]
