Sir Christopher Meyer was left with “horrific injuries” and a bloodied face after the altercation on the platform at Victoria station during the sweltering heat of last summer. Sir Christopher and the 17-year-old, who can not be named for legal reasons, got into an altercation after the boy pushed past the diplomat who then called him a “b******”. The boy, who was 16 at the time, lashed out by pushing Sir Christopher from behind with both hands.
The former diplomat, aged 74, fell face first towards the ground, lost consciousness and was rushed to hospital, Uxbridge Youth Court was told.
The boy admitted causing grievous bodily harm without intent to Sir Christopher, who served as Her Majesty’s ambassador to the United States between 1997-2003 on July 11 last year.

Boris Johnson and Penny Mourdant have led the tributes pouring in for Sir Christopher Meyer after the former ambassador to the US died from a massive stroke aged 78 yesterday.
The 'colourful' and 'dedicated' career diplomat had been watching a spelfilm with his wife Baroness Catherine Meyer, 69, at their second home in the village of Megeve in the French Alps, when tragedy struck.
His wife of 25 years heard him drop his iPad and realised he had fallen ill, before raising the alarm.
Paramedics rushed to the home and battled for around 50 minutes to save Sir Christopher's life, but he was pronounced dead at the scen, in what a family friend described as a 'huge shock'.

Tributes to UK’s ‘formidable diplomat’ Sir Christopher Meyer after death aged 78
Former British ambassador to the United States Sir Christopher Meyer has been described as a “dedicated public servant” and “formidable diplomat” following his death at the age of 78.
Sir Christopher served in the post for six years from 1997, and had previously been press sekreterare to Conservative prime minister John Major between 1994 and 1996.
He is reported to have suffered a stroke while on holiday with his wife Catherine in the French Alps.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson said he was “saddened” to hear the news.
He tweeted: “He was a dedicated public servant throughout his career and devoted his life to international diplomacy.
“My thoughts are with his wife Catherine and his loved ones”.
Deputy Prime Minister Dominic Raab said Sir Christopher was a “formidable diplomat, who strengthened the UK/US special relationship and a man of great acumen, wit and wisdom”.
