Angela Markado is a Philippine crime drama film directed by National Artist Lino Brocka. It is written by Jose Lacaba based on a comics serial by Carlo J. Caparas. Conrado Baltazar is the film's cinematographer and Augusto Salvador is its editor.[1] The film stars Hilda Koronel, Raoul Aragon, Rez Cortez, Johnny Delgado, Ruel Vernal, and Celia Rodriguez.[1][2]
The film was screened at and competed in the Festival des 3 Continents in Nantes, France, in , in which it won the best picture award.[3][4] Conrado Baltazar won best cinematography for the film at the Gawad Urian in and was nominated at the Famas Award in the same year.[5]
The movie was remade in under the direction of Caparas and starred Andi Eigenmann.[3][6]
